The club was formed in 1913, and is the oldest continually operating fencing club in Australia. We operate from the gymnasium at North Sydney Girls High School in Crows Nest.
The club’s membership has included many State and Australian champions, and has been the centre for State and National training squads, competitions and camps.
We welcome fencers of all abilities from beginners to advanced. The club offers classes in foil for beginners of all ages, individual coaching in foil and epee, as well as social fencing.

Callum has notified the club that he is ill. As such we have to cancel the 11.00am Beginner class on Saturday 25 June 2022. Sami will run the 12pm and 1.30pm classes on Saturday 25 June 2022 We apologise for the late notice.
The Swords Club’s winter fencing camp is happening this coming school holidays. The camp will include fitness exercises, footwork drills, fencing drills, structured and supervised bouting and will conclude with a mini competition. The club will be closed on Saturday 14th May due to late notice renovation work at the school which prevents TSC using school facilities. There will be no individual and classes lessons or social fencing available.
The club committee is constantly looking at ways to improve childrens’ fencing experience. We believe it is beneficial for children to have the opportunity to watch, interact with and learn from more experienced fencers.
